Meet James Stegner. Just one of our talented Michigan artists that we support. Jim is sitting on one of his Brazilian inspired red benches, and to the right is a bright teal version. Each is unique and signed by the artist.
On a trip to Brazil, Jim met some native woodworkers. Brazilians are known for their use of bright colors. He was impressed by their blatant disregard for what we would call a wood finish. Multi-colors layered on in thick, bold combinations, sanded, and removed in places. Not only unusual, but makes a statement all itself. The wood seat is textured, gouged in places, some texturing is uniform, and some is totally freeform. Each 6' bench is a unique combination of color, and texture. All color is applied by hand by the artist until he is pleased with the overall result. A protective clear finish overcoat is the last step to preserve the bold colors for years to come. Each bench is signed and dated by Jim. Ground freight to the lower 48 is included in the price of the bench. more

The Chickadee is a cheerful little acrobat. His call chick-a-dee-dee-dee-dee" is known to most people in the eastern United States. The Two Hearted Chickadee house is a flat mounted, premium all cedar construction for long life in the elements. Chickadees begin mating in February so you'll want to install this house early.
The overall dimensions are: mounting back 22", Nest box 11" Tall, 7" Wide. The Chickadee house features a screw down lid for easy cleaning. more

The Tufted Titmouse is not shy and it's two note song can be heard throughout the eastern United States. The Two Hearted house design for this year around resident is flat mounted and features the same premium cedar construction of the entire Two Hearted collection.
