The handles of our baskets are an integral part of the root, and the bottom on some pieces is the original logging cut of the tree. Many times the pieces are carved laterally or in the direction of the grain if this is determined to yield a more interesting finished piece. The most important thing to remember is that each piece is unique and different. Many of our customers have collected several pieces.
